Compatibility

HeaderForge is a Chrome extension, available for Google Chrome only at the moment. Because it's a Chrome extension, it runs on every desktop operating system Chrome supports:

  • macOS — Apple silicon and Intel
  • Windows — 10 and 11
  • Linux — any distribution that runs Chrome
  • ChromeOS — Chromebooks

There's no separate build per platform — the same package works everywhere. Support for other browsers isn't available yet.

What you get

Request and response header editing, request cookies, URL filters, saved profiles, one-click Verify, per-rule comments, and import/export — all in a single popup. No account, no setup, no data leaving your machine.

Heads up on the local package. A manually loaded extension doesn't auto-update. When a new version ships, download it again and click the reload icon on the extension's card in chrome://extensions. The Chrome Web Store version updates on its own.
